Animation is the illusion of moving objects, it begins with the process of making slight changes to existing artwork, in a readable sequence, then playing those in succession, and then wham, you have motion. Now, why anyone would spend 1000s of hours making an anime, to name it this, is beyond me. It’s like a mother who hates her offspring for whatever reason, so she names it something stupid just to get back at it.

Is it Wrong to Touch My Anime Wifus? is an endearing anime, set in a world where adventurers traverse and explore a sprawling labyrinth, filled with monsters and foes alike — to gain treasures, find loot and scream a whole lotta video-gamey references at you. Our casting members are Goddes Hestia, Ais, Liliruca, Welf Crozzo and our Main Character (MC) Bell Cranel.

In “Is it Wrong to chase Metallic Titties?” we are treated to an experience taken straight from a Role-Playing video game. Fans of the original Final Fantasy and classic JRPGs will experience all of the fun of those games coming to life. From learning skills to power levelling, “Is it written by a pervert?” explores the troupes of an RPG game, and is made all the better for it.

Part 1: This video game is full of betas, where are the alphas?

“Is it stupid to have an anime title this long?” is a fun, classical experience that had me yearning to play some of the older JRPGs, and unlike your social life, it is filled with women. #YouCan’tRelate. “Is it Wrong to Touch Grass” is amusing— it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and while the main plot can feel like a rotating wheel of nothing, the voiced cast does an incredible job catering to the fandom and delivering convincing performances.

Watching this show made me discover a genre called “Haram”. Which is a genre that focuses on a polygynous relationship dynamic where the protagonist is surrounded by multiple suitors. Which is a lot of words that really mean, written by a man for other men. This is evident wherever another character comes on-screen that’s not Bell.

The show can sometimes turn into a pseudo-machoism simulator. The goals propelling many of the characters are shallow and range between three (3) points — getting stronger, impressing chicks or undefined. Not many of their motivations go deeper than that, and this doesn’t help that the show is obsessed with catering to fan services (which really means ‘pleasing the perverts’).

Part 2: Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?

Short answer? No.

Watching “Is this how Anime titties work?” I found myself confused. While the show was fun — I found myself begging for it to be over. The character’s personalities don’t always stick, and sometimes they are even downright boring to watch. Some characters can be described with one word, and complex or 3-dimensional aren’t their synonyms.

The main character is dull — I am sure you’re mirror is familiar. His personality is interchangeable with 90% of all other anime MCs. Nothing is really memorable about him, which has to be the writers’ collective fantasies, cause I do not know single women who would find Bell interesting — which I am sure you are well aware of since your love life is as empty as your pockets. (Wham🤘! a twofer)

The worst part about “Is it funny that I’ve made this joke 9x?”, comes from the inconsistency with the title and the actual format of the show. Bell does literally no “picking-up of girls” and all of them just throw themselves at him. Like how you throw food down your gullet, fatti. It is easy to mistake this show for a power fantasy with tits because really it can get that shallow if you don’t pay attention.

All in all, if you love cheap fantasy and cliche, and want an experience that has the potential to grow, but takes a while to get there, “Is it over yet” is a great experience, and I am interested enough to keep watching.

VERDICT

“Is it wrong to hide girls in your basement? Asking for a Friend” faces the issue of running boring with cliches and empty promises. After a few episodes, you’d probably want to take a break and go watch the paint dry. But while the show is nothing unique or a must-watch, it is a fun experience to have a laugh at here and there. You won’t leave the experience on cloud 9, but at least you learn how to pick up girls — nope, that’s a lie.
